Owen D.L. Barstow, Art Dealer

Owen D.L. Barstow trained as a sculptor at art school during the 1980s. He went on to study the History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, London, in the early 90s where he met his partner Britta Vetter. After completing his MA at The Courtauld, Owen worked on the final stages of the Grove Dictionary of Art. He remained in the world of journalism and publishing and has been involved in the production of some of the world’s best selling consumer drinks titles and, for a decade, he worked as a consultant to the luxury fine and rare spirits industry. Throughout this time, Owen has maintained a constant and deep interest in post-war and contemporary art, particularly in the art of the 1980s.
